I went all the way up to Kings Lynn to shoot this 36 Pickup, I’d seen it at the Hayride and was keen to shoot it. Betty Havoc and Dave Biggadyke came along to the shoot but Dave didn’t make it into any of the photos LOL.

This shoot of Dan Burnham’s supercharged Chevy never made it to any magazines but here it is for your viewing pleasure.

Just catching up with some shoots from the past few issues of Custom Car. Here we have Wayne Streams’ awesome ditch find 39 Willys Gasser with Miranda Barrie.

Once again I have the privilege of exhibiting in the Art Show at Brighton Tattoo Convention this year. I know that budgets are tight so I will have a range of posters for sale rather than the usual signed prints, along with copies of Book of Kool. See you there.

The January 2012 issue of Milkcow has three page article about me and my photography. Thanks very much to Kate at Clumsy for the kind words, they are very much appreciated.
“There are a lot of people out there who call themselves photographers but it takes a certain something to make a great photographer. A keen eye for detail, a sense of composition, and the ability to connect with his or her subject matter. Nick Grant has all of these.”

Just catching up with some shots from last year, these were taken at the NSRA Hor Rod Drags at Shakespeare County Raceway, unfortunately rain stopped any racing while I was there.

I went along to the launch of The Raydar magazine at the Ace this week. The Arousers played some tunes to keep us entertained and there was a great turnout of Rods for December. The Raydar is something a bit different, I’m looking forward to issue 2 already!

Great day out today at JackHammer Speed Shop. I can’t believe that I haven’t been to this Aladdin’s den before it is packed to the rafters (literally) with cool parts and accessories. I picked up a Cadillac batwing aircleaner for the ’57 and promptly handed it over to Nefarious who had popped in to say hello, so my engine bay should be looking smarter soon. Nefarious was also dropping off some very cool flamingos that have been ‘striped ready for sale. I was also dropping off some copies of Book of Kool, which is on sale now at JackHammer. One of the main reasons for the trip though was Steve Hale had organised a platoon of Tri Chevys to attend as JackHammer are now stocking parts for them. It was good to meet up with the gang and enjoy a roast dinner in the Imperial across the road.

Great night up at Chelsea last night for the cruise, very busy indeed and so many people had taken the time to decorate their cars and dress up for Halloween. Just a few pics as I was too busy chatting to take too many. Thanks to the V8 Mentalists for getting a big posse together.

I’m delighted to announce that Neal Reed and I will be covering the Rhythm Riot again this year as part of the Hot Rod Photographers Alliance. I had a blast last year and this year has the added bonus of George Barris and some very special cars in attendance. I hear that it is almost sold out already so get your bookings in now! See you there.
